The people

Many of the residents are social and ecological pioneers who, through volunteering work and personal commitment, ignited the Permaculture and Transition Towns movements in the geografical romanian space and many networks, projects, enterprises, organisations and communities along the way.

Many have had journeys of initiation, learning and transformation in diferent cultural contexts, contributing and becoming part of global movements and organisations. Part of a global movement made up of interwoven and autonomous but collaborating entities. Many of the most amazing treasures can be shared with others come from the heritage of global thinkers and doers and generations of entrepreneurs and innovators before us.
The existence of The Legacy | Bucharest and the possibilities of sharing it with others, brings joy to the team and existing community of agents.

The Pillars of
The Legacy | Bucharest

The Legacy | Bucharest is envisioned as a house where different movements, networks, communities and subcultures active in civil society, ethical entrepreneurship and ethical innovation can come together and exchange best practices, support each other, collaborate and catalysed into an overarching identity, converting dis-satisfaction with existing circumstances into creative ethical long-lasting action.

Urban Edible Garden, Summer Garden and Outdoor Space

A demonstrative and educational food production system using techniques from Permaculture and Regenerative Agriculture. An integrated part of the garden will be the rain water harvesting, waste management and composting system.

Co-Working space for Ethical Entrepreneours and Change-makers

A community convergence hub creating opportunities for cross-pollination. It is both an “office”: supporting and bootstrapping new initiatives with expertise, resources and infrastructure and a “community” based on resonance, shared values and common purpose.

Laboratory for Transformative Educational Programs

We train entrepreneurs, business leaders, engineers, innovators, managers, community leaders to become Change-makers for the common good within their companies, institutions, ecosystems and the World.

The Story

The experience so far, put team behind The Legacy | Bucharest in a position of valuing meditation, physical wellbeing and health, deep communion with nature and regenerative practices. 

Sharing an appreciation for the wonder of what it means to be human: the potential, the feelings, the subtle unexplainable, the creativity, the shadow, the pain and the layers of identity and memes. 

Seekers of community, beyond and beneath the hip and consumeristic meaning, within the sense of home, of belonging and sharing deeply, vulnerably and unconventionally. The community is the embrace of all the imperfections together, celebrated step by step into the brave unknown evolution of what it means to be “human”. On these journeys, the purpose of which is a bright mystery, we find companions that give thanks to the known and comfortable and set off to meet the change coming our way.

 

At the House, you will find progressive ways of working together and of thinking about work, value creation and value flow, conscious consumption and what could be a wholesome livelihood for all humans on planet Earth.

The Worldview

Living in a world of accelerating  Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA World) and  in the middle of a historic socio economic, political, cultural and environmental transformation, one witnesses the accelerating trends that are redefining entire industries, markets and social norms for decades to come: the 3rd Industrial Revolution, digitalization, robotization, generational shift, localized production, IoT, Green New Deal, Environmental crises, growing global debt, cryptocurrencies, collaborative consumption, organic farming, 3D and 4D printing, circular economy, self management org,  energy prosumers, remote work, participatory budgeting, personalized medicine and others. 

History teaches us that change always comes, although it is not always in the benefit of the common good and it all depends on those leading the change and their worldviews, attitudes and capacity.

The quality of change in the world is a reflection of the quality of the change that took place inside the agent of change.
At the House, you will find the evolutionary environment and the changemakers create the evolutionary culture. The evolutionary culture is the Legacy for future generations.



The Motivation

At the House, we look for the agents of change aka changemakers and ethical enterprises that re-invent leadership, management, success indicators, concepts of value, ownership, power, conflict, wealth, security and responsibility and outperform preexisting models while revolutionizing whole industries and markets. 
Intentionally bringing closer together this ecosystem and meaningfully supporting those who are just starting out with infrastructure, resources and guidance.
We want to make a deep and significant contribution to the cultural evolution of this ecosystem by establishing The Legacy | Bucharest. We work to create new collaborations and also bring more people on board in our own teams and projects.
And most importantly we want to establish this space so that we may all keep progressing on our journeys and contribute further to the world.
